"I ordered organic Fleckvieh heifers from Bradley at Moffett Livestock, I thought the order might have been difficult because of the type of stock I required but after a quick phone call and a visit from him, he assured me that my order wasn't going to be a problem. They selected a bunch of maiden heifers and some calves all well above my minimum requirements for milk and solids. When the cattle arrived at my farm they were healthy and energetic and I was more than happy. As a new entrant I don't plan to start milking until next year so these maidens suited me and as time goes on I intend to run a full pedigree herd of Fleckvieh. Bradley and his team took me to 3 farms in Ireland where I selected the first load. They were exactly the stock I'd asked for, in addition were all within 6 to 8 weeks of calving and in-calf to an easy calving angus this was perfect for me, as I run a flying herd and left the heifers that little bit cheaper as I had a valuable calf to sell. The second load came from north Germany and were also the ideal stock I was looking all stock was free from IBR, BVD and TB. With all calved down their milk performance is excellent with all back in-calf again within 10weeks.
